What should I wear to Austin concert?
Permalink Closed

Next Saturday I am going with my older sister and her friend to Austin to go see Citizen Cope. I am not too familiar with his music but I still have a week to learn his songs! And I have no clue on what to wear!! I dont want to look too over dressed or under dressed.

What should I wear?!?!?

Heres a link to the place where he will be playing just to get an idea of what kind of place it will be at.

Hi Ranchera:

I live in Austin, and I've been to La Zona Rosa many times. It is a dark venue, with no seating. And keeping in mind that Austin can be a little more casual than other cities, I would wear some sexy well-fitting jeans with a cute top (maybe black skinny jeans with a long white tunic and red patent belt over it,) and some red or black comfy shoes. If you're going out afterwards you could swap to some heels, but I wouldn't reccommend heels in LZR. ALso, the flooring is somewhat uneven, so comfy shoes will prevent accidents.

If you're up for going out afterwards, and you want to check out a new trendy place. Check out the Belmont. It is a great restaurant bar with indoor and outdoor seating, including a rooftoop view of Austin and cabanas with white lounge chairs. Think South Beach. Very fun and cool place...

It's on 6th and Guadalupe-just 2 blocks north and 2 blocks East from where you will be.

Have fun

^ I agree-- Austin is very casual so jeans and a cute top will be good. Even at the trendy restaurants people are casual.

Have fun there!
