Need Breakfast Ideas for Work
Permalink Closed

Hello everyone! I’m really needing breakfast ideas for work. I eat breakfast at my desk, and I’m tired of wasting money on buying pastries at Starbucks. Does anyone have any ideas they could share? I’m looking for something other than breakfast bars and bagels. I would like to eat something with some protein, and would give me energy to start off the day. TIA!

Do you have access to a microwave at work?  If so, I would suggest the South Beach Diet Breakfast wraps.  They come frozen and are made with a whole wheat tortilla (fiber) and have protein (eggs/cheese) to keep you from crashing before lunchtime.  I love them with a little salsa on top!

I used to love eating breakfast tacos.  In my area, Texas, you can buy them on almost every corner somewhere.  We had an Asian run cafe downstairs in my office building that sold them, interestingly.  But just like donut shops, little Mexican restaurants will pop up next door to drycleaners, liquor stores and grocery stores, any of those strip mall places frequented by commuters.  They are always cheap.  You can typically choose egg and cheese tacos with either bacon, potato, or barbacoa.  Seriously yummy.

I haven't checked, but frozen ones are probably available too for popping in the microwave.

I bring cereal to work sometimes.. Or I make me an egg sandwich--- fried egg, ketchup and bread.. yum yum!

Oh ya-- Hot Pockets have a breakfast version .. w/ eggs and bacon-- that one is yummy... I can't remember what it's called.. You just nuke it for one minute and it's good to go!

Thanks guys. I do have a microwave, and a fridge here in the office. So I could pretty much bring anything that is quick and easy.

You could always do instant oatmeal, too .
