Seen any cute ones? My aspiring wedding coordinator friend is going to make them for my mom's 25th wedding anniversary reception and I'm looking for some inspiration pics to show her.
I'm thinking of wrapping the oasis ball with moss or tropical leaves and adding touches of tiny flowers.
***UPDATE***
So we found a few pics, and merged them together and came up with this:
Hey, nice work! The only thing I'm not too hot on is the plaid print on the ribbon - says 'Baby Shower' or even 'Bridal Shower' more than 'Wedding Reception' to me.

nice topiaries - I like the silver container and ribbon juxtaposed against the earthy greenery.
the mix of red and yellow daisies is throwing me though. I think something like one color, such as the pink you are showing in the paint sample looks better with silver. even if you must have red and yellow, I would only use one color on the topiaries - say, some topiaries would be yellow and some would be red. Is there a reason you are going with red and yellow?

D, My mom's favorite colors are yellow and coral and the photographer had just done a wedding with reds and yellows she picked this pic out: We might pair the flowers up instead of adding them in singles. I like the idea of making some yellow and some red. We want to do a trial arrangement this weekend. We're getting a big discount on the flowers cuz my friend owns a party business and we get the merchant discount at the LA flower market.
ooh - now I like the autumnal colors and the sunflowers and black eyed susans? (deep yellows, oranges, and reds) I guess when I saw the gerbera daisies, my first thought was ketchup and mustard.
if you're going with autumnal hues, I'm not sure about the silver ribbon - it just seems too... I don't know - maybe not rustic enough with the autumn theme... almost like it's too delicate and ethereal... I like the steel container because that seems less delicate... the super warm with super cool palette just sees off to me. JMO
ETA: now that I looked at the autumnal flowers more closely, I see the one gerbera daisy sticking out. I guess what makes the autumnal flowers work is that there is a range of colors vs. two at the opposite ends of the spectrum. Regarding the ribbon, one thing you could do to better tie together the silver with the autumnal colors is to use two ribbons together - say a deep orangy sheer ribbon tied with the silver ribbon...
