And I am one LARGE mosquito bite! Hooray for the Thai rainy season!
The good news is we did NOT come in last, just 11 out of 12 . But we won the coveted Best Dressed Team Award.
We were invited to play in Sri Lanka, so I am headed there in February. One of my teammates has my camera cord, so as soon as I get it back, I will post my plethora of pictures.
All in all, it was a FABULOUS time, and I am so glad that we did it. I can't wait until the next tournament!
OK - you must elaborate on this. how was the date?:
Perhaps sensing her team would need a secret advantage, 30-year old Susie Nguyen -- an ex-Marine and amateur kick-boxer -- struck up a long chat at a before-match cocktail party with Alberto Alberti, the Italian captain. Their deal: He would pass her the ball during the game and she would agree to a dinner date.
"Hey, I do what I have to do for the team," Nguyen said."

I didn't go on the date because he didn't keep up his end of the bargain. I ended up having dinner with some other teams that evening at the Four Seasons Tented camp on the border of Burma and Thailand.
Not for his lack of trying though, he teased me all week about it, saying he never said WHEN he would pass me the ball.

D: The people in Thailand were so NICE. It's called the land of a smiles for a reason. They were also very enamored of their king. Landing in Bangkok was a sensory overload, but in a good way.
I can't wait to go back next year!
