The weather here has been cold, rainy and dreary. I have been fighting the urge to wear my winter sweaters. I mean, I have all freakin' winter to wear sweaters, etc.!
So ... I have been trying to layer ... and I just end up looking like a mess for work.
Any ideas? I can wear jeans most days to work, but I still try to look nice and often wear nice pants instead of jeans.
I transitional weather! And it's perfect for dressing for work, IMO. I was able to wear jeans at my last job too, so much of the year I wore some variation of this outfit:
Blazer
Interesting blouse/top of some kind, or a sweater in the colder weather
Cami
Jeans
Boots
Because you're layering, you have the opportunity to create many combinations with a few pieces. The jeans in the outfit could easily be switched out for pants (I used to do that on days when we had important meetings), or you could also do tights, a skirt, and heels or boots.
