I'm just a few hours from the city so any time should be ok. Depending on work, I may not be able to make it down until late on a Friday or early Saturday, but I might be able to swing a bit more time with lots of notice (I'm assuming this will be a weekend thing)

just to share what my initial thoughts are on this, is that it would be a Saturday with an intinerary like:


meet at 2PM in X shopping area for shopping


dinner at 6PM at X restaurant


drinks at 9PM at X bar


the restaurant and bar should be close to the shopping area so we don't have to travel far between locations.  it would also allow people to leave the group and rejoin later or only participate in in a portion of the itinerary.


this would also be considered an overall ST gathering, not just a local NY gathering.  more of an annual stylethreadpalooza if you know what I mean...

another thought is lodging near the site of the gathering(s). maybe we could get a group rate at a hotel in the decided upon area, and people could share rooms if they wanted.


I for one, would dress one way for shopping and possibly another way for dinner/drinks... so I would want to be near my room to freshen.

Me too, though April or May sounds better since I'm going to Disney in February - that would give me time to save up again.
