Early but......Halloween costumes
Permalink Closed

I know it's early, but I like to have a lot of planning time so I have time to look for pieces to a costume

Anyways, I need suggestions on cute AND warm Halloween costumes. It's usually around 30 degrees (or sometimes colder) at night here that late in October and all the cute costumes I end up liking involve short skirts and sleeveless. That won't work if I'm going to be walking from my car to the bar, and then bar to bar.

I also don't want typical costumes (ski bunny, etc.); I'd prefer to be more original if possible.

Any ideas?

I was a sailor last year, and it was cute, covered up, and still pretty sexy. I found a white hat, wore a tight white tee with white pants, black belt and black shoes, then wore my regular navy peacoat whenever we went outside. Oh, and I found some cute tattoos to go all the way down both arms that said "I heart Mom" and things like that. I got a standing ovation when we walked into a restaurant at 4 a.m., and guys talked about it a LOT for a while, according to my roomate, (who's a guy, and who tells me stuff like that - he's awesome).

Oh, and funny story, the next day I went to work out, and noticed a guy staring at me, so I smiled, and he just looked away like he was really freaked. And THAT"S when I remembered that I hadn't been able to scrub off the temporary tattoos in the shower that morning (it took like, a week). His face was GREAT!

How about a pirate, a female Jack Sparrow? You could wear your black boots, a vest over a blousy shirt, tight-fitting pants, a rugged leather belt or a wide sash around your waist, a pirate-style hat, and gold hoop earrings and a lot of cool rings. Oh, and really dramatic eyes!

i was a girlscout last year and my bf was a boyscout.  i got my shirt on ebay, he got his at a thriftstore.  i wore the top with a brown skirt.  you can do long sleeves with the top and tights with the skirt (or even knee socks).  i also had girlscout cookies to pass out and it was a HUGE hit.
