I need a new eyelash curler. I have been using SONIA KASHUK for over a year and while I love it, i dont think its all that great. I usually have to go back an curl my lashes twice.

Please suggest yours!!

I have an old maybelline one, which works fine, but I want a new one. I feel like my lashes could be curled better. Though I am not much help, I am right there with ya!

I've always heard the Shu Uemura is pretty much the gold standard:

Eyelash Curler $18 @ Sephora

Yep. I have this one and puts all the drugstore brands to shame. I know Lilykind likes the Shiseido one as well.

Most people do really well with Shu Uemura BUT if you have almond (or otherwise rounder)shaped eyes, the Shiseido is IMO better. The base is more curved whereas the Shu is more straight. I think the Shu is a great eyelash curler too, just not nearly as much for me.

I think you should try both...one on one eye and the other on the other eye. Compare the difference. I treat eyelash curlers like high-end denim...no one pair is truly the best pair for everyone.

I know kealoha likes MAC and Kevyn Aucoin as well over Shu.

I totally agree w/this.  MAC's is quite nice w/a respectable price-point, but I still love my KA the best.

have you used any eyelash curlers in the past? if you have used something from the drugstore (like Revlon, which is whar I had prior to my Shiseido), there will be a world of difference. my eyelashes are thick and pretty stick-straight and these help immensely.

i have a maybelline one, which basically makes a very temporary dent in my eyelashes that droops out after a few minutes. lovely, eh?  i've tried some other drugstore brands, which basically do the same thing.

i have almond-ish eyes as well, so i might have to splurge on a shiseido. thanks for your help

I find most of my curlers all do the same job.  I find that when I put a little heat on them that they curl my lashes better.  You just have to be careful not to heat them up too much because they are metal.

I thought a curler wouls just be a curler and not matter, but I finally ponied up for the Shu and I LOVE it. My sister tried it at my place and replaced hers with the Shu that weekend. (We had both used Revlon prior) however in between the 2 I did try Sephora's heated eye lash curler, and I hated it.
