Has anyone seen any wool, sweater-like, or knit tights that aren't like $50.  Ive seen a bunch of really cute cable knit and wool tights at anthropologie, but they are a bit pricey for me.  I'm looking for a cheaper version.  On a side note, Ive seen them for little kids, and remember wearing them when i was little as well, and i know they weren't very expensive.

I've only found them for kids.

I'm thinking about maybe buying the biggest size and trying to turn them into thigh highs or something if I can't find adult ones for a decent price? I dunno, just chop of the top and sew some elastic into them or something....

the only ones I can find are Falke, and they run around $65... maybe the kids' sizes are cheaper because they use less wool?

You're tiny Nicoley - get the kids version!  We used to call them 'sockie tights' ... .  I usually find most XL or 14-16 girls sizes to be perfectly sufficient for a size 4 or so.

Something Gap kids might have a bit later in the season, or possibly UO ... I'll look around a bit ...

So, I know you said not $50. These are $28, which is still overpriced, but I haven't found anything better for less money, so I'll probably end up getting these myself.

Free People - comes in 5 colors

Plus red, blue, and ivory.

I'm guessing you mean specifically a wool fiber content?

I agree with Elle - you could probably get away with the largest size of kid's tights:

if you're just looking for thick, sweatery tights, you can get some at TJ Maxx for under $10
