I received a call from a friend this morning, inviting me to a Clear Magazine party on the 15th. I'm going come hell or high water (I'll wear my prosthetics and take a pain killer). Since this is a fashion magazine, I want to have fun with my clothes... Is the following outfit too crazy? any other ideas from what you know I have? it's supposed to be a high in the low 70's and raining that day...
OR no tights and white boots?
other thoughts dancing in my head involve:
(I will probably need to wear a jacket)
and the infamous missoni dress (need to wear a jacket with this as well):

green shoes? do you mean the ones in the picture? those are black leather manolos with vintage shoe clips. not so sure I want to wear those...

Hmmm, I don't know if I love the red/black boots with the first dress. Feels a bit ... matchy maybe (?) with the colors and the Fendi buckles on both the bag and belt and the buckles on the boots?
I do like that Sartorialist pic ... maybe a different color pumps with the black tights?

Yes, of course! When I said green I obviously meant black For whatever reason, they looked olive green on my screen. I like the idea of the white boots with them too, but if it's in the 70s you may be more comfortable without tall boots on (?)

I think it's too matchy also, but I like the concept.

I came, I saw, I did a little shopping.
I know, that's a super cute outfit with the contrasting shoes/tights. I wanted to go black tights with the black boots to create an unbroken line - I'm battling a bootyload of fluid retention from the surgery still, and am not feeling my thinest, so anthing to make my legs look thinner is a plus (as well as stomach - I feel like I look pregnant - my stomach is still really extended and I can't zip up my jeans - I thought the big belt, and a body shaper will help disguise it)

I know, I feel like I'm getting too matchy too. It's also like I want to break out some of my newer stuff as well. other suggestions from what you know I have are welcome! I'm willing to ditch the bag or any other item I have shown - just initial thoughts I threw out there....

I like the first outfit, but with a different bag. As much as I love the Fendi I think it's too much with the buckle on the belt and the red on the shoe and in the dress. I'd probably go with a black bag, just so that you don't have quite so much going on?
yeah - the fendi bag is too much. I may also be able to get away with no tights... I'll have to play with my outfits next week (yesterday's dr's appt was painful and I have limited mobility in my arms - hopefully next week will be better - fluid-wise as well)

and yes, I do have simpler boots, but I thought It would be fun to break out my new ankle boots maybe no tights with the ankle boots?
I think that the dress, belt, one of the new purses, and then the ankle boots with or without tights would be an awesome look! I think that once you got rid of the Fendi red bag the outfit is no longer too matchy matchy and is instead wonderful!
Anyhow, if you wear your hot new boots you'll feel like a million bucks and I'm sure that will be the thing that makes the outfit look best of all.
