Leggings are NOT pants!  I have seen a handful of girls in the past few days wearing cute tops with leggings...and nothing else.  This must be stopped.

You mean like a regular length top w/leggings?  Where their butt shows?  I can see wear a long tunic top or long sweater, but not a regular top

I think a lot of young HS girls do it.  I see it like crazy at the NJ malls.


I hate seeing (**green w/ jealousy**) it because my butt definately does not look good in spandex!

Those pictures are so funny!

I actually saw a women in her 40's last week wearing leggings with a fitted tank top and ballet flats - it was terrifying! This look is just not good for ANY age -

the fug girls have been preaching about this since the dawn of leggings, but nobody listens... sigh... even one of my usual faves, Rachel Bilson, was spotted doing this. She looked AWFUL.

I think the top should definately cover your butt no matter how skinny or fit you are, otherwise it looks like you're going for a workout.

I saw a woman at Safeway, she was prob. in her late 40's. She was wearing a cream hoodie and black cropped leggings with lace trim, and shoes like these. I almost didn't notice how bad the outfit was because I was blinded by all the cellulite craters on her butt. Not that I don't have cellulite, but I wear pants to cover it up!

ok, i admit i HATE this look- but my quirky not super skinny (maybe a curvy 8?) roommate rocks this look every once in a while because she thinks its "honest".  I think thats a refreshing attitude- better to appreciate your body than not.  So- in that sense- i'm okay with it.

i like nicky hilton's gray boots in that pic, though.

i don't think this is the worst look in the world, if it looks okay on you. i couldn't do it, but i kind of admire people who are brave enough to (like i think it looks good on chloe sevigny in the photo someone posted--maybe because her leggings have some seam-detail to them).

I think, at the very least, you should wear a tunic top. I have a coworker who wears oversized sweaters and leggings all the time.

Personally, I rocked this trend in elementary school. I think I'll skip it this time.
