Since you've obviously been pregnant before - I want an opinion. I love this sweater and I know several on this board said they thought it would work with a pregnant belly. I've never been pregnant before but I know things stretch out in places I didn't dream of and nothing seems to fit even remotely close to what it did before. Do you think this would work??? And if so, how many sizes up should I go?? I was a Small before pregnancy.
i think this would definately work for being pregnant, and probably a little afterwords. it is hard to judge how big to go up in this sweater though. my main concern is not really your belly for this sweater, since it looks pretty belly friendly, but the boob area. there going to go up at least 2 cup sizes while your pregnant, so i would say to judge by how it will fit in the chest.
well everyone is different. my boob size didn't change at all while i was pregnant (but have gone up a size since breastfeeding).
most of the maternity tops i bought, i bought just slightly bigger than my regular size. but i made sure the tops had a lot of stretch. for reference, i had a HUGE belly (here: me at 37 weeks)) but i am still able to wear most of them now because they are stretchy...so long answer to a short question, i would probably only go one size up.
my boobs got huge...so I would have never to been able to button a sweater like that after 30 weeks...but I think that you could get away with it for a while...i would size up 1 size
My boobs only got a little fuller during all 3 pregnancies. Just more "bounce" to them, but I have teeny ta-tas anyway. I think you'd be fine just going up one size if you have big boobies or staying your regular size if you have smaller ones. Everyone's so different, though, so it's hard to say for sure. I know, that's not helpful at all
