washing calphalon pans

I have the same set of calphalon (sp?) pans as my folks, and they have always hand washed them. So, I have always hand washed mine, which is a major pain in the ass. Do any of you put yours in the dishwasher? I'm either going to throw caution to the wind and dish wash mine, or buy cheapy dishwasher safe ones, and just use the good ones for when I'm making cuisene as opposed to a grilled cheese.

Comments?

Depends on what finish the pans have on them (annodized aluminum, non stick, stainless, etc).  Technically you can wash any pans you want in the dishwasher, but it does void your (calphalon) warranty and they won't last as long.

We kept 2 of our small cheap saucepans and our cast iron skillet when we got our nice, new Calphalon set.  If we use the saucepans it usually means we're cooking a larger meal with other pans too, so it helps to be able to throw the saucepan in the dishwasher.  The cast iron doesn't need to be 'washed' , so that's always good!

I have hard anodized non stick. I'm not worried about voiding the warrenty, I just want to know if the dishwasher soap will make the outsides all spotted and icky or something.

It may just be easier to buy a set of t-fal for my day to day stuff.

I hand wash my Calphalon pans (they're anodized aluminum)...I've never thought it to be a serious problem since the grease/food particles come right off when I wash in warm soapy water.

I'd never put them in the dishwasher, but that's me.

We put our stainless steel Calphalon pans in the dishwasher. We've never had any problems, but they usually have to be polished if you do it that way,
