hi girls--i haven't been around much lately, but i turned up a major shopping dilemma today, and i knew just who to go to for advice! please tell me what to do--i am really torn.

i went into nordstrom rack today with a friend, just looking around, and i came across...a gorgeous marc jacobs bag for $500. it's the "diane" style, in black, from resort 2005. it is very classic and big--about 16x10x5, so t would be versatile for work, travel, etc. i do love it, but i really don't need it right now and i don't have tons of extra cash lying around. here's a small pic that doesn't do it justice at ALL



BUT, i love it, and it's a very classic marc bag that i can use forever, so am i stupid to leave it there? i have it on hold, so i have to go back by 8:30 tonight.

If you really don't need it and don't have the cash, then that's a no, but if you will use it, and forever, and you technically can afford it w/o hurting your pocketbooks, then sure!  You can always ebay it later if you change your mind...


I mean my handbags are all less than $100 and I'm doing okay!

ooh that is a beautiful bag.  I say get it and eat rice and ramen noodles this month! 


On a side note I'm glad to see your post today.  I was about to pm you to see how you were as I wore your headband today running errands

Yay, bumblebee!

Can you return the bag? I think you should buy it and not use it for a week or so while you think about whether you really want it and whether you can fairly easily cover the cost of it. If you can't return it you can always take a chance and put it on ebay if you change your mind but I think if you leave it there you will be kicking yourself tomorrow.

good to see you! i would get the bag. i had a similar dilemma earlier this summer with a marc bag. i ended up getting the bag and i have no regrets. so get it!
