New mom gift basket
Permalink Closed

So my coworker and his wife just had their first baby yesterday and I decided to make them a little gift basket.  I wanted to include some stuff for the baby and for the mom.  So far I've included: a Starbucks gc, nail polish (since she can see her toes now), bath salts, and soft slippers.  For the baby I've included a onesie, a knit cap, and little pink knit booties.  It's all wrapped up in a basket with pink tissue paper and it looks really cute.  Is there anything else I should include?

Just a suggestion:  for all the new moms I know I always include a gift pack from L'Occitaine...it's the honey one...I think it's baby soap in the shape of a bear and a honey perfume that has no alcohol.  So right there you've got baby (soap) and mom (perfume).

If you're a baker/cook, I'd whip them up something - a meal they can freeze and reheat later, or cookies/muffins/etc that can be eaten one-handed.

Maybe the Happiest Baby on the Block CD?  A lavendar eye mask?  Really nice lip balm?
