what are your favorite accessories for fall?

I'm going to be broke as a joke this fall, so I'm trying to freshen my look w/ accessories rather than buying a bunch of new clothes.


I'm all about patent leather right now (shoes and I found a cute headband) and I still seem to be collecting belts of all shapes and sizes.


What are some of your favorite accessories for this fall?  I'd love pictures/links if you've got time.

  • Boots. I've recently bought ankle boots, slouchy boots, and pull-on boots.
  • Patent leather. I ordered a pair of navy patent wedges.
  • Platform shoes. I haven't bought any new platforms yet.

I'm doing minimal accessories this fall, which is always good on the budget!


I'm going to be adding a couple more:



  • Tights
  • Long, simple pendant necklaces
  • Wide Belts

I think my only shoe purchases this season are going to be 1 or 2 pairs of low heeled, slouchy boots and a pair of flats in some interesting color/texture.  Page 348 of the September Lucky epitomizes my fall look!

i love scarves.  seriously love them.  i think tights are fun but i never wear them because my legs get too cold.  the funky tights just aren't me.  i am like you, everything i am buying are basics and then i'm doing ebay for jewelry.  i have always made bags and shoes my "dress around" item and everything else simple.  i have never done this with jewelry so i've been stalking ebay for some fun jewelry.  i am also really like jlear's stuff right now.

  • Tights and leggings

  • Boots-bought a slouchy, foldover pair and a suede knee high pair from Michael Kors . Have some booties that I bought last year

  • Need to get some jewelry- not sure what yet.

  • A red and black wide belt. Imsure one of them will be patent.

i'm really into scarves too this year.  i plan to pick up several "pashminas" from chinatown in a bunch of colors. they're like $4 each. i also plan to re-stock my jewelry collection. right now i'm really into charm bracelets and want to get some cocktail rings. i will try and find pictures to post too.

I'm just now hopping on the belt/scarf bandwagon.


Scarves....under the bust, at the waist, on the strap of a tank top, loose around the neck, and in the hair


Things I need/want:



  • Dark Brown Shoulder Bag

  • New black round toe pumps

  • Boots...though I'll never find any to fit my slim calves

  • Leather portfolio

  • Long necklaces

  • Long earrings

  • Cuff bracelets
