Katie Hudson and Chris Robinson are separating. That's sad, I loved them togeather.


khudson.jpgActress Kate Hudson and her husband, Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, are splitting, PEOPLE has learned exclusively.

A rep for the You, Me and Dupree star confirms that the couple are separating after nearly six years of marriage.

Hudson, 27, and Robinson, 39, wed on New Year's Eve 2000 after dating for about a year. Their son, Ryder Russell, was born Jan. 7, 2004.

In September 2004, while shooting Skeleton Key in New Orleans, Hudson told PEOPLE about her relationship with Robinson since Ryder's birth: "We're sharing something so gigantic now. I think it's the best we've ever felt being together."

Noooooo I'm so sad.  I really love them together.  Ugh, I'm so sick of everyone in Hollywood splitting up.  I have no hope that any of them will last.

Damn. I always thought they were one of the most "un-Hollywood" Hollywood couples. And they have *always* seemed so very happy together.

i love them.  that is the saddest thing i have ever heard.  and  it sucks, because you know they won't work it out.  if it is that bad that they are going to tell the press they are seperated, then it is pretty much to the point of no return.

Her last interview on the View about a month or so ago when she was on there promoting You, Me and Dupree, she didn't sound so sure that they were going to last forever.  It was just some things she said and how she said them that made me wonder.  I've always thought she was way too pretty for him, he just looks all gross and scruffy.

If Reese and Ryan break up that will just be the ultimate death of a hollywood marriage. With all these shockers I feel the impending doom that that day is closer then we think. Stay strong you guys...come on!!!!

I don't want them to split up, but *I* would have something going on with him, given the chance (and assuming I was no longer married for some strange reason!).

oh no, really? I remember goldie hawn going on about her & kurt's "open relationship" but I like kate hudson, so I was hoping she'd have more sense than that... I'm sad to hear they're breaking up.

I remember after "How to Lose A Guy in Ten Days" he said he had a crush on her. I was wondering if she had something going on with Owen Wilson, actually...when "You, Me, and Dupree" came out I noticed a few mentions in gossip columns about them being seen out together. It didn't say anything speculative about them maybe being involved, but I still wondered.

I'll probably get crucified for this, but I totally would.  I am obsessed w/the Black Crowes and I think I've always thought he was kinda cute in a lead singer, scruffy type of way.  I also think it's about a lot more than looks - he seems like a really cool guy and I know she was really into his band/music.  They seemed like such a cute hippie couple, but I do remember reading in a magazine that she didn't really believe in being w/one person forever, and how if he cheated on her she wouldn't want to know, etc..so maybe she really wasn't in love.  Just my two cents!


Oh and I do think he used to have a drug problem, but I don't know about anymore.
