Had to share our new baby.  She's now 10 weeks old and her name is Tulah.


She's a Queensland Heeler.  So darn cute.

The typical grown size for females is about 35-40 pounds.  Her mom was a really small Heeler so we're hoping she'll be on the smaller side!  She's my walking buddy so hopefully that will keep her trim (& me!).


A Queensland Heeler (also called a Blue Heeler) is different than an Australian Shepherd, but in the same family I think.  They are shorter haired and shorter in stature and a bit more muscular.  Both are herding dogs, so they need to be kept very busy and they are incredibly smart (aka manipulative!).

Cute! First thing I thought was Australian Shepard too - we had one when I was growing up (we had cows too so he was actually a herder). Best dog ever. I bet yours is super smart too. Adorable.

She's WAY TOO CUTE!!!  We used to have a heeler that looked just like her as a pup.  And yes, she was very smart.  My husband had them growing up too.  They can be great dogs!
