I am not liking my hair at the moment and feel like its time for a change. But I don't know what to do with it. I don't really like bangs or short pieces that will hang in my eyes. My hair is really fine so it doesn't have much body and its pin straight. Any ideas?

a little voice in the back of my head almost wants me to cut it all off, short...but I'm not sure since this is the fist time I've ever had long hair and it always takes so long to grow back

What about cutting it to about shoulder length and adding a lot of dramatic layers to help give it some lift?

Okay...first, hi.

Second...don't go to your hairdresser if you do decide to cut it. Go someplace different. Parties aren't as much fun as nice hair.

Third...I like your hair longer. Only seeing it shorter in ID pics doesn't really count, but I do like it longer. That being said, layers could work but I honestly think that with hair as thin/fine as yours the layers would need a lot of upkeep, both in the morning and with future haircuts. I guess that doesn't help much.

Fourth...have you tried parting it on different sides?

Fifth...I think that cutting choppy pieces all around might work, at about the same lenth as the shorter pieces now so it would all be a little longer than your chin.

It looks like we have similar hair textures (though mine is darker) and what worked best for me was having it cut just above shoulder length - as soon as it hits my shoulders it goes haywire and won't do anything I want it to.  I had them do the base length bluntly with a razor and then had them do choppy layers with scissors, but I asked that they keep them in the upper third layer of my hair, and that they all be within 3 inches of the bottom length.  It was awesome!  It took litterally 5 minutes to style everyday - blowdry upside down (dries quick because it's so fine!) and put some styling cream on the ends for some definition.  Voila!

I took a pic I'd ripped out of a John Frieda Sheer Blonde ad in a magazine ..... but I can't seem to find the same one online ...

ok first of all, you are so pretty. it's funny, i always pictured you w/dark hair (like the girl in your avatar)

anyways, i think between your chin & your shoulders, layered, would look great and very dramatic. maybe the length of your shortest current layer. it looks really cute.

awwww...thanks so much Twinkle. I was feeling goofy because I couldn't take a picture of myself without looking totally cross-eyed (hence the sunglasses).

Rel- I think you were rubbing off on me...(not literally, ew) I was so tempted to cut off all my hair when I got home last night. Like short short. Rana short. And yes, I will find a hair dresser other than Blake.

Elle- What about at the front? Do you have bangs or shorter pieces around your face or anything? Can you still tie it back?

I do have side-swept bangs, but the cut could easily be done without them.  They're there so I look like I have cheekbones, not necessarily to make the cut look 'better' .

i was logging on right now and noticed this picture on the home page, and thought that it would look great on you.  i know you wanted to keep length, but it looks like you and this model have the same shape face and i love the cut on her, so i think it would look really great on you.
