I've been kind of wanting these Minnetonka boots for the past 2 years. I have a feeling they would be very comfortable, and I guess I'm a little bit hippie. Would people laugh at me on the street?
I have always loved the minnetonka boots for as long as I can remember, (we're going back to the 70's here!) they become trendy periodically, including in the past 2 years, but the trend didn't really take off. I, being the hippie at heart that I am birkenstocks, I would not laugh at you on the street. But that's me. I could very much see them in the fall with a denim or cord mini, tights?, and a slouchy sweater. Gotta pow wow to the beat of your own drummer, you know?

How odd, I was going to post the same question. I love them too, and so did my roommate from Texas (I am from Chicago, so this are very different areas). I suppose some people will laugh (as they always do), but the rest (myself included) will be jealous at how amazing they and your outfit are, as I believe there are lots of possibilities for those boots. Much like D I was going to wear mine with a slouchy sweater but with skinny jeans.

I couldn't rock them...but that's just because of my personal style..
however if I saw someone rocking them..and rocking them hard..I probably wouldn't laugh I would just admire the fact that they could wear them so well.
I really love them - as a matter of fact I bought some off of ebay last year. It's just when I got them & put them on I couldn't imagine wearing them without feeling like I was in costume. I was disappointed, but I couldn't get over it so I sold them back (at a profit, I may add). So I say go for it & wear them with happiness if you can...

Ohhh I can't wait to see how you wear them! I have a short pair of those boots and love them. Yes I get laughed at when I wear them but some people love them!

They're not my personal style at all (Birks are as hippie as I'll ever get), but if I saw a fellow fashionista rocking those on the street I would be very admiring.
