I know some of you have this GAP sweater vest, so my question is:

I know this is supposed to be a somewhat oversized sweater, but I feel retarded as to whether or not this is how it is supposed to look. Is it meant to be this baggy? Or should I get a smaller size? I guess maybe it just feels weird wearing something big...I'm used to all my clothes being fitted.

first of all, CUTE outfit! I'd prefer it more fitted, only because I know you have great waist definition. But I don't think it looks bad the way it is. You've seen this, I am sure, but here it is on the model. See how it is more fitted in the waist? (Unless they pinned it, which they are wont to do.)

I agree with halleybird, cute outfit, sweater looks okay, would look better more fitted. Where did you get those boots?

Thanks guys..that's what I was afraid of. I think I'll return and then order the other size. I have a 10% off coupon now anyway, so I'll end up saving.

penguininaboat - the boots are Chinese Laundry and I can't say enough good things about them because they are like WALKING ON AIR. Seriously.

I'd like to see if getting a size smaller would get the waist definition the model is getting. It's not bad, but I think the fit could be improved on.

It's cute and I like your outfit. You should def. try a smaller size and see if you like the fit better.

I'm going to be the lone dissenter here, and say I like how it fits with that outfit.  I like a loose boyfriend sweater fit over a little mini and tall boots.  Now. if it wasn't over something little or slim, I would probably feel differently.  I love your outfit as is.  I am also off to zappos to try to find your boots

Hmmm I go both ways on this one. I think with a button down you need a more fitted fit but if you had something slimmer on bottom then the baggier fit is okay. Like maybe a slim fit turtleneck underneath for a mod ish look?

I just want to say that I really like the outfit! I think the sweater could work as is, but a size smaller would look good, too.

Thanks ladies!

I think I'm going to get the smaller size simply because I have a feeling it's going to stretch out w/ wear.

I like the idea of wearing it w/ a turtleneck underneath!

I've been wondering the same thing before buying it.  On the model it looks like it should fit a little loose, in a tunic-y way, but I would like it to be a bit more fitted on me. Maybe I'll order a size down too.

I love the turtleneck idea. That look would be really chic w/boots
