gift ideas for vet school student!
Permalink Closed

my friend just got into to vet school and i am throwing her a party this weekend. i want to get her a present... but i'm not sure what. she is moving to another state and packing all her stuff in a tiny compact car... so size matters!

any suggestions would be great.

my first thought was a cute stuffed animal but i don't know if she has room. i guess i could always mail it to her.

another thought was a AAA membership. i know it's a grandma present but i find mine very useful... my bf said i should probably supplement this present with a subscription to reader's digest.

sooo obviously i'm unable to think of a good present! please help!

she loves:
skincare
fragrance
shampoo
animals
doritos
martial arts

What about a cosmetic/skincare item of sorts (ones that don't tetst on animals, of coursse) and a donation to a humane society or rescue made in her name to honor her acceptance? Also, I swear I read on here once that you can make a donation to a place in Africa that will give a family a cow or goat or something, and teach them to raise it and breed it and what not. I know these donations aren't as exciting as some other stuff, but it's easy to pack, and might be nice to honor her with someting like that.

At BF's workplace last Christmas, instead of doing a $20 Secret Santa they each donated $20 to Heifer International.

Something extremely useful and not needing to be packed is a membership to whatever the National Association of Vet's is. Not quite sure how much you are looking to spend because they do tend to run a couple hundred, but perhaps you could go in on this with a couple of her other friends? Generally memberships are cheaper for students but you would probably have to contact her school but she would get the journals for each month and professional journals are always nice. Just a thought.
