Best plain shirts?
Permalink Closed

Where can I get some really nice long sleeve shirts, turtlenecks, three-quarter length shirts, etc.?

I realized this morning I am seriously lacking for plain tops.

I was thinking American Apparel..does anyone know how sizing runs? Or can recommend a specific shirt/style?

American Apparel runs small...at least that's been my experience. I don't think their stuff is the best quality. Some of thier stuff is okay. It's very hit and miss.

I don't know what your price range is, but I usually shop for plain tops at Gap, and designers stuff such as Spendid, (who I love) C&C California, James Pierce, etc...like the stuff you see at shopbop.com

I really like C&C California tees.  I also have a l/s tee from JCrew that I really like.

AA is good, but not great. You kind of have to go in and look for yourself because I agree with subwolley that it's hit or miss.

If you really want nice shirts that wear well, I like J. Crew, La Made, Splendid, and James Perse.
