outfit help-what to wear to luau

this is me being a bit prudish, but I wouldn't wear a grass skirt to a luau. I'd probably hit up the Roxy store or PacSun and get myself a cute Hawaiian print sundress to wear with flip flops or maybe really open sandals with floral/shell embelisshment.

that said, if you want to wear the grass skirt, I'd wear it with a colored cami or wifebeater, do the lei thing, and then wear with flip flops. Underneath I'd probably wear leggings, but honestly that one's kind of confunding.

I think you should wear a coconut top, a flower headband, and flip flops (you could wear boyshorts under the skirt) -- this is all assuming you have a body worthy of exposure...

Nah, you aren't being a prude. I've worn a Hawaiian print skirt with a cute cami and a lei or a Hawaiian print dress to luaus that I've been to in the past.
