Lady in the Water promos....

Can I just say that the little girl whispering creeps me out more than anything else I can remember in a very long time. That's all.

M. Night Shyamalan's movies, no, let me rephrase that, promos, scare the crap out of me!!!! Wasn't that movie The Village by him, I know people said it wasn't as scary as they thought it would be, but he is so good at doing the suspensful, edge of your seat thing, that I didn't even want to see it because it scared me so much. Whenever I watch Signs I get SOOOO scared!!! Even the Sixth Sense. That guy is a genious. I can't wait to hear reviews of Lady in the Water because I am too much of a chicken to go see scary movies.

ok, his previews allways look great and scary, but the movies are allways disappointing.  lady in the water looks kind of stupid though.  she is coming out of a swiming pool!!!  the little girls voice allmost sounds like dakota fanning.  i don't think i will go see this movie.  i don't have a very good track record with his movies.

unbreakable i thought was really stupid.   the  sixth sense i thought was ok, but not great.  the village pissed me off when i found out there were no monsters.  signs scared the crap out of me and i loved it.  so 1 out of 4.

I think his stuff is ok, I loved the 6th Sense because at that time it was different than anything else out there, and I saw it opening weekend so no one ruined the surprise. The others have scared me a bit, but that is because of the "jump" factor as I call it, but when you find out what you are jumping at then it isn't scary anymore.

The thing that really irks me about his movies though is that the cast the same people in them.
The 6th Sense & Unbreakable- Bruce Willis

Signs & The Village- Joaquin Phoenix

The Village & The Lady in The Water- Bryce Dallas Howard

It is weird that the main character starts in one, then is the next movie he puts out, then so one, like some weird sort of chain. I guess that Paul Giamatti will be in his next movie The Life of Pi!

I am dying to see this movie, I love is stuff. Its not scary, just suspenseful. This movie is based on an East Indian picture book that I have used in a few story programs.

On a side note, I think Paul Giamatti is an outstanding actor and he should be awesome in this.

thats what my boyfriend keeps telling me too Ally S but i still don't wanna see it!

i also hate how the promo at the movie theatre is sooooo misleading making it look like a really cool fairytale and then the promos on the telly show these scary wolf things lurking around corners...

I can't wait to see it. I like his movies. Although after the Sixth Sense, I've found them all pretty predictable b/c you know there's going to be a twist and if you think hard enough, you'll figure it out. I figured out the basic idea of the twist in both Unbreakable and The Village long before the end. I wasn't a huge fan of Signs b/c I hate alien plotlines. They're so hackneyed and I'm sick of them.

Another reason I like his movies is that most of them are filmed in the Greater Philadelphia/Chester County area so I recognize places in them.
