I'm gonig to a wedding with my bf and his parents.  It's in Tahoe, although I don't know the exact location...I know that doesnt really help.  The guys should be in slacks and ties. My bf Stepmom is going to wear a skirt and blouse.  What would you recomment wearing.  I planned on wearing a dress but I'm not sure if it would be too much.

with gold or silver shoes.  Too much??  Or do you think since its fairly simple it should be fine?

The wedding is on saturday, so any advice would be very appreciated!!

In my very humble opinion, I think this dress is a little too sexy for an event with the boyfriend's family... Not sure what the family is like, but I know my bf's family is a little more conservative, and I tend to dress on the more demure side when we have family events.

If you were going out with the bf's friends, I'm sure he'd love to show you off in this dress!

I think it's very nice, and not too flashy. I think it should be fine for the fam considering it covers the ladies. I think anything with cleavage would be inappropriate for the family viewing.

Firefly: I'll have to ask my bf but I'm pretty sure this wouldnt be too sexy. Like Luv2Shop said, it doesnt reveal much so I thought it would be ok.  Thank you both for your input! Anyone else???

I don't think it would be too sexy. It shows your shoulders, not your cleavage. And it's too the knee! I think it's just fine - of course, I'd have some sort of wrap for the service itself, especially if it's a religious ceremony.

I think the dress is beautiful and it would be great! Of course it has all the function of any LBD - classy, but it doesn't call attention to yourself, which sounds good because you feel a little unsure if it's too dressy (although I really don't think so, I think it's perfect) It's simple and a metallic shoe would look great.

have fun!!

I guess I'm just used to my boyfriend's Puritanical family!
I'm sure you'll look beautiful in this dress... wear it with confidence. :)

Thanks everyone!! The ceremony is most likely in a church...but I would definately have a wrap/coverup for that.  I really needed some extra input since my bf is not much help with clothes   Thanks again!!!
