Ok so my friend and I have been planning a trip to Paris and we finally picked an apartment and signed the lease and now it's official!! So here it is, my home for the month of October:
it's in the 5th district, "Situated in a live pedestrian area of the eminent Latin Quarter, between Boulevard Saint Michel and Rue Saint Jacques." i'm so excited, i can barely sit still!!
Wow - that place looks absolutely fabulous!! Good for you. You are actually going to stay in Paris for a month? That sounds like an amazing experience - congrats!
Wow, wow, wow! That's so exciting! I bet October can't get here soon enough. That's a great apartment by the way, I bet you won't wanna leave that place after October is over!
OMG - it's GORGEOUS! (I have to say I am partial to American kitchens and baths though ) I love the beamed ceiling and the decorating is sooo cool. and the location! what a wonderful experience!

YAY!!! I love it. And that area is amazing, so beautiful. You'll be able to walk to Notre Dame in minutes. There's also tons of SUPER HIGH END shopping around there.
So beautiful! And can I just say that I'm so glad you picked a pretty apt, those others you posted before seemed so plain and country and this one is perfect, just like a Paris apt should be
LUCKY!!! I'm so jealous! Looks amazing! Do you mind if I ask how much it is for the whole month?
I don't mind at all, it's 1900 Euros for the month and since the dollar is weak right now (argh...), the exchange rate is about $1.25 for every one Euro. So that comes to about $2500, but what sucks is the 35% rental agency fee on top of that! Anyway, Erika and I are splitting the cost so we're both responsible for $1616.00, which is a lot but it's for a whole month, we've never been to Paris and we want to do it right! Besides, we got the time off work and when is that ever gonna happen again?

That's what we thought! Thanks FP, your approval means a lot.
What a great apartment! Paris is such an amazing city, enjoy it! Also, just wondering, do you speak French? If you do, think how much you'll improve in the month you're there. It's totally worrth it just for that. And if you don't, it's still totally worth it!
Congratulations! I think it's really awesome that you're doing something you've always wanted to. Your apartment looks amazing and you are going to have such a wonderful adventure-- and such good shopping!!!
Your trip totally has me inspired to try and do the same thing-- right after I saw it, I told my boyfriend, "we must make time to jet off for a month and live abroad at some point". I'm especially inspired bc I just finished law school and was wondering how possible it even is to get that much time off from work or to take fun vacations. Everyone makes it sound so miserable. It's very heartening to hear of another lawyer who is still getting the opportunity to do things she always wanted to do!
