Okay, nchomefurniture doesn't list prices which is annoying, but www.landofnod.com has prices listed and is better priced than pottery barn.

Check potterybarn.com and see if there is an outlet near you-if so you can get great deals there-just bought bunkbeds for less than $600!

Maybe we are just clumsy in my family but I'd never buy bunk beds for children!  I've busted my arm from one, and my brother broke his collar bone (not the same bunk bed so it's not cursed or anything!)  They are dangerous!

Spoken like someone w/ no kids!  You'll cave........

You need to be at least 6 to sleep in the top bunk anyway.  As opposed to back when we were little in the 70s and 80s, there are sturdy rails on the top bunk.  It would be virtually impossible to fall out of one now, unless you were acting like a little idiot.  They're not dangerous.  No more so than a swingset or a playhouse set up high.  You just have to be smarter than the wood used to build it (which, granted, some kids aren't).

Sorry, I was on a tangent.  Honestly, I didn't spend much on kids beds for when they moved out of the crib.  I put my daughter on a twin mattress on the floor for a while so she'd get used to the idea before I put the mattress up on a frame.  I knew she'd crawl out.  But she was only 18 months old.  I did the same thing for my oldest when he was little.

My youngest just got a craptacular wooden Goodwill bed for $7 until I figure out what kind of furniture to buy for him.  It sits pretty low to the ground compared to modern beds, plus I put a rail on the edge.  Not gorgeous, but who sees it?

missme, i loved your tangent.

my daughter just turned 3. and she loves her crib.  she didn't want to get rid of it, and i was so in love with the idea of her not being able to get up and wander in the middle of the night, that i let her stay in it.  but, at the moment she has her crib mattress on the floor and is sleeping on that.  but it looks so sad.  like we didn't care so we tossed her in the corner.  it makes me want to cry.  she is so excited now to get a big girls bed though.  she keeps asking me when she will get it.

I saw the cutest stuff in Bombay Kids, I would definitely check them out.  They had tons of different theme rooms with awesome accessories.
