It's been a few weeks... time for a shopping ban check-in.
I've been very good. I ordered a Gucci bag from the sale on Tuesday, but my mom is going to pay for it, so it doesn't count. I *almost* ordered a bag from the Bluefly accessories sale today that I've liked for over 6 months, but I don't NEED another bag. I'm so proud of myself for controlling the urge to buy!

Thanks for posting. I love the shopping ban checking, it is a great reminder for me to stay on task.
I'm doing really good. Had to replace my plain white tee, but found a perfectly acceptable sub at GAP for $10. I *almost* but a pair of shoes at the Nordies sale, but I decided that it would be better to put the $100 toward my NYC trip.
I am buying tons of tickets to summer concerts right now, but that isn't an area where I'm willing to cut back.
I was bad. I purchased the dress I needed for the wedding I"m going to in 3 weeks which was allowed but I also purchased a shirt during the Nordies sale and a pair of denim gauchos. I am on a strict ban now.
I have done well with my grocery ban. I did buy a few extra packs of ground turkey cause it was 50% last week but that was the only thing not on my list so yay me!
I'm doing well. I haven't purchased anything at all. I'm in need of a new suit appropriate for court, so I'm putting my leftover xmas Nordies giftcards towards that and hopefully I won't be out too much afterward.
I'll need a formal dress for a wedding in August. Everything I have is cocktail, at best (and that would be stretching it). But I'm going to be on the lookout over the next few months for some good sails, so hopefully that won't break the bank.
But I've purchased nothing in the last month. I've wanted to, but I didn't. So yea me!
Well, I haven't gotten anything for myself. My bf put his wallet through the wash so today I had to go out and buy him a new one, plus a dress shirt, under tees, and black pants since he has a funeral to go to. He will be paying the bill though, so I guess it doesn't count.
I forgot to say that on Tuesday I returned something at Nordstom and didn't even go into the rest of the mall. I was so proud of myself. I know that if I go into a store "just to look" I will find something I want.

Well I'm not on a full shopping ban.BUT I am banning handbags until august I mean I have gotten freakin' out of control! We ain't talkin' $50 handbags either.
So I guess I will post my updates here too! It just started Wednesday....so far so good.
I'm officially in... I was just accepted to graduate school (Masters in Library Science) and need to save money now! I will be working at first while I'm in school, but I'm not sure if I can keep that up, so I need pay off all my debt.
I'm moving soon, so will need some new furniture and house stuff, but thats all that is allowed!! No clothes!
I'm having mixed results. I'm doing REALLY well on clothes--I haven't bought any clothes in two months except for some sunglasses on St. Marks for $15.
However, I've shelled out several hundred bucks on stuff for the apartment.
I think that is okay, though, as most of it is stuff we legitimately need. A lamp, a side table, extra towels, etc. Oh and I ordered some fabulous storage boxes which I am dorkily excited about... I am seizing this move as a big opportunity to organize better, and to stash the clutter I can't do without in nice-looking boxes so the place looks tidy!
I think my shopping ban is over. I was doing really well while I was on it. I bought I think only a demin skirt which was an awesome deal. Other than that I have been good. But I am going to have to start buying things. I have to buy a wedding gift (which isn't for me, so it techically doesn't count), I have to also buy a graduation dress and soon, some more work appropriate outfits. But I am going to try to stick to my list. It is going to be really hard, because there is so many sales going on and I am actually going to be in the stores, so I am going to be very tempted.
Still doing pretty good. Yesterday I was out looking for a specific item for my house and somehow found my way in the Gap! There was an awesome pair of jeans for only $10! They fit nice but I assured myself they would shrink after I washed them so I left them behind. I consider myself short, so why in the heck are their pants inseams so short on me! If you made them longer, at least you could hem them!
I did buy a makeup brush, cause I really needed it. Then I stopped at Sees to indulge my sweet tooth for a couple bucks.
