it's like press-on nails without the nail.

from the avon site:  Peel. Press. Perfect.

In an instant, experience a revolution at your fingertips - nail color that goes on dry. No streaks. No waiting. Strips of real nail enamel, combined with base & top coat that go on dry. The set includes 16 dry nail strips, good for one manicure. Can be applied on acrylic nails - and, it’s waterproof. Remove as usual with nail enamel remover. Instant Manicure gives you 14 days of shiny color and a perfect finish every time!

• Applies in minutes; removes in a snap with nail enamel remover.
• More chip-resistant than liquid nail enamel.
• Color that lasts up to 14 days.

No idea if it works, but I am interested too.  I am a disaster with my nails so I'm interested too :)  I just wonder how they get to be the perfect size?

Oh, and is it just me or did they misspell enamel?  Or have I been spelling it wrong all these years!

I tried these.  The only real problem I had was the size of the "polish" strips and my nails. I had to cut the sides off of a few and it just didn't look right.  They tear pretty easily.  They really didn't last too long either, but I type all day long, too.  HTH!

They definitely misspelled it -- in their graphic only, for whatever reason. They just need either an ad designer who can spell, or a proofreader!

I tried a sample and in my opinion, they're definitely not worth it. They didn't even stick to my nail, and the lady had to keep pressing it on to my nail. It would have been a lot quicker to just paint my nails!

I have them on now, in the pearly white color.  They took a while to put on - all the rubbing and cutting (you just use your thumbnail which is cool) and getting it just right - but it was pretty easy over all, easier than painting for me.  I especially like how they're dry instantly.  Usually I do my nails at night and I'm ready to go to sleep soon afterwards but I have to wait forever for the polish to dry or else have sheet marks on my nails.  I just put these on, went to bed, and woke up with great nails in the morning.  It's been a few days and they still look nice, though the bottom part close to the cuticle is pulling up a bit.  That's probably my bad for not cutting them the right size though.  They're not chipped on the tips, which is a huge plus for me.  I can barely keep regular polish on with all the typing I do, so it's nice to look down and not see any chips.  All in all, I'd say I've had a pretty good experience with them.  I have another pack in the red color and I think that's a true test.  Red polish is a bitch, haha.  I'll probably order more because while I don't think I'll use them all the time, I think they'll be nice to have in a pinch.
