Okay ladies, I am looking for some crops for the summer. I've never played with the cropped pant length and I want something other than normal jeans/pants this year. I'm 5' 5" and curvy. What are your favorites and recommendations? Where should I start looking? Nordstrom? Jcrew? Please point me in the right direction!

I just ordered some from Anthro - they're on sale for $45. I ordered them in white, and they also come in light pink and navy:

Anthro has quite a few other choices - a good mix of wide leg, skinny leg, and shorter & longer lengths.

I'd also recommend AE Outfitters - I have a denim pair from there and they fit great. Just to give you other ideas, they also have these:

On sale, $40

A lot of STers have this pair and love them, comes in lots of colors, only $40:

More casual look, $40:

ETA: I don't have a Nordies near me, but they probably have lots of choices in-store for you to try on. As for JCrew, their pants never fit me correctly. Same goes for BR. I'm built very straight though, so perhaps because you're curvier, they'd work for you?

I 2nd Christine's rec for Anthro and AE.  I also would like to throw in Express.  I know a lot of girls don't like their pants, but I love them and they fit me great.  They have tons of crops right now in different styles and colors.

I second Express, and  I like The Limited's Cassidy fit too.  I tried on these at Banana and liked them a lot.

I think the trick is to try on a bunch of different lengths.  In general, I think gaucho/just below the knee lengths work for the majority of women, and anything that hits the middle of your calf = very unflattering.  I'm a stickler, so I've gotten cropped pants hemmed so they are just the right length for me.  HTH!

Thanks! I am going shopping tomorrow (I have to buy a bathing suit, bleh) and will look at AE, Express, and Anthro. I really like all the styles you ladies posted. :)
