My sound is acting up.

I have no idea what's going on but my computer won't play songs without skipping or making weird noises.  It's not just cds that are scratched, it's music videos, myspace songs, etc.  Anyone had this problem before and know how to fix it?


Feel free to move this to the technical section, I just thought it would get more traffic here.

I had this problem too when I was loading a bunch of CDs onto my itunes account.  After about two hours of loading all the songs started playing like they were skipping.  I just gave my computer a "rest" and then started again and everything was fine.  The boy (who actually knows about computers) seemed to think it was something about the hard drive being overworked and then vibrating.
