Some random thoughts:

I liked the episode a lot but there was a lot going on!

EL is such a horrible actress. When she found out Carlos "died," her acting was awful. On the other hand, Bree's daughter did a great job at the end screaming when the Applewhite kid got shot. And Marcia Cross did a fabulous job as usual. She's really the star of the show as far as I'm concerned.

Did Mike die for sure? I think he's probably still alive because I remember reading something that said he and Susan got back together.

HB, I have no idea why the dentist killed Mike. They didn't really explain it. I didn't like how he had connections with Bree, Susan, and Mike. It seemed complicated.

I love Lynette. That lady with the Tom's kid is a total bitch/wack job.

HATEHATEHATE the Carlos/maid storyline. So creepy and unnatural.

The Applewhite story was surprisingly interesting. I wasn't expecting for it to be the other son.

I actually thought last night's episode was pretty boring until the end. I lost interest a lot throughout, and I did not think it needed to be 2 hours.

I don't believe Mike is definitely dead. I think he'll be back and just injured. I have no idea why Orson ran him over or what he has against him...at first I thought he wanted Susan, but then he showed up at Bree's w/flowers?

Speaking of Bree, did anyone else think it was strange how they wouldn't let her out of the mental institute even though she checked herself in? Something is up w/that shrink - he was creepy and w/Orson being there as well...

I, too, liked how they turned the Applewhite story around and made it Matthew that was the murderer and not Caleb.

Oh and the Gabby/Carlos/Maid thing is soo stupid and creep like TOJ said - gross!

I hated the Applewhite story too, but it was a good ending and I am glad it's over!

I forgot to say that I really like the twist in Lynette and Tom's storyline -- much better than him cheating. It will add an interesting dynamic to their relationship. Also, I am curious to see what the daughter is like.

It has something to do with the fact that Mike did time in prison (he could tell by Mike's dental work) and Mike thought he knew him from somewhere and just couldn't remember where, anyway, I think the dentist was in the slammer with him or something along those lines. I agree though, why does Bree also date the psychos

I'm also glad that Applewhite thing is over. And I don't think the whole maid/Carlos thing is believable, I don't think the maid would do that. Oh, and I don't think Mike is dead either.

I'm thinking the opposite. I thought Bree's daughter's acting was terrible, anybody can scream, I was actually rolling my eyes while watching it. It wasn't believable. While Eva is a good actress. Of course she didn't act totally devastated when she heard Carlos died, because Gabby doesn't show that kind of emotion (except the one time they were taking the baby away).

About the dentist running over Mike, I think Karl hired him as a hit man. ETA: Oh, never mind my theory! I just read what FP said and forgot about the prison thing. But if that didn't happen, the hit man idea would be it!
