ISO Brown braided belt
Permalink Closed

Ok ladies, I'm wanting a brown braided leather belt to wear at my natural waist.  Where should I look?  I know a lot of braided belts can be several sizes since they don't have holes but I don't want a lot of excess hanging down.  And I want it to be wide but not too wide, maybe around 2".  My waist is about 26-27".  Any suggestions?

This one's 2.5" wide.... the XS is 31" long. It's currently sold out online, but it's in many of the stores.

I'd check thrift stores - both the mens and womens sections.  I almost always find a belt when I'm thrifting, even if I don't find anything else!

Abercrombie has a few braided belts, and I know that they have really small-fitting clothes, so I would assume their belts wouldn't have too much left hanging on you.

I bought one at Gadzooks (Forever21) in the mall.  I saw some at pretty much all of the cheapy stores if you are wanting a cheaper one.

I bought one at Charlotte Russe this weekend for about $10, I *almost* bought one at Aeropostale but it was too straw-ish for my taste.  You may want to stop by if you have one nearby.

Yeah, but is it leather?  I don't have anything against pleather on other people, but I can't bring myself to wear it.  I'm weird, I know

I think I just need to make a trip to the mall/TJMaxx and try some on.  Thanks girls!

check the kids' sections of department stores, too (probably boys). I can't stand excess belt, and I think a L or XL in kids may be a better fit for your waist.

Considering they are like $10, I would highly doubt they are leather.  I haven't ever seen leather at those stores.  I would check places like Banana or Express.
