Kayak.com and Orbitz.com are my favorites. DC wrote a good article about this this fall, but it doesn't appear to be on the site anymore.

I almost always use expedia to book our travel. However, do not book any hotels until you have checked out tripadvisor.com. It's a terrific site that gives you honest reviews of all hotels that exist (or at least it seems). The reviews are from people who have sdstayed there, many include real life photos. Check it out!
