Good luck & have fun Irene! I don't know about pumps, but if you're going to be on your feet all day, I'd do a comfy flat. Depending on what your dress code is, then I'd look into Ecco or Rockport. Granted, they're not the most attractive on the market, but your feet will thank you. If you want something slightly "dressy", these should be comfy, yet functional for the job:

Oh I like my new job. The people are fantastic and really love what they do. As a bridal associate I help newly engaged women create their bridal registry. I also help their guests with purchasing items on the registries. I walk around the store helping people, I wrap their gifts, and stock my department. It's very cool. I know some people don't like retail, but I have always found it to be fun.

Anyway, I wore some Chinese Laundry pointy toe, kitten heel pumps and by noon my feet were KILLING me. I drove over to DSW and bought a pair of cute, incredibly comfy, and inexpensive pumps by Sofft Shoe. They cost $64.99 and are totally worth every penny. Oh, here is a pic, but they are much cuter in person.
