Another Trick for Avoiding Daily Hair Washings
Permalink Closed

I've tried this and can tell you it definately works.  I noticed a difference right away soon after I ran out of it recently.  It's a five star rated product at drugstore.com (which is how I ended up trying it in the first place).  My bottle had the consistency slightly thicker than water, but none of the other reviewers mentioned it so I think it may have been my bottle, but even if that's the way it is, it's worth the extra effort.  If you buy it from drugstore.com don't forget to link in from this site so we can all help Detroit maintain this site. :)

For Oily Scalp
with essential oil of Lemon

Because an oily scalp is highly reactive, shampooing plays a vital role in restoring a normal condition. PHYTOCEDRAT is formulated with a mild plant-derived washing base that helps prevent the rebound effect (a reaction that occurs a few hours after shampooing).

The recognized astringent properties of its plant-derived ingredients (Geranium and Lemon essential oil), combined with a derivative of abietic acid, gently cleanse the scalp while removing dirt and excess sebum. From the very first application, the hair feels light and the scalp is healthy-looking. Eventually, your hair will not need to be washed as often.

Oily Scalp
When functioning normally, the sebaceous glands of the scalp lubricate hair with sebum. However, excessive sebum can make the hair weighed down and difficult to manage, a phenomenon that can worsen if the right shampoo is not used. The best prevention is to use a shampoo that is specially formulate to restore the balance of natural secretion of the scalp.

PHYTO products bring the most potent active ingredients from the botanical world to your hair through Phytotherathrie, the science of haircare through plants.

PHYTO will help maintain the healthy appearance of your hair and reveal its full beauty.

Through its botanical formulas, PHYTO provides a natural and precise solution for the needs of each hair type. Ongoing research and close collaboration with scientists enable Laboratories Phystosolba to continually develop innovative haircare products with clinically proven results.

Environmentally conscious, PHYTO only uses glass bottles and aluminum tubes, which also help protect its formulas rich in active ingredients and limit the use of preservatives.

PHYTO does not test products on animals.

This sounds great but what would worry me is would it dry out the rest of my hair?  (my poor, blonde, split ends)

I don't feel it dried out my hair in the least.  My hair is just as shiny as ever (and I have split ends no matter what, so I know it's not from this).

I love you! so you're the one who's been buying toiletries and vitamins from drugstore.com

I did notice - it's only a couple dollars here, and a couple of dollars there, but it all ads up - thank you!

I couldn't find it. I searched under Phyto and then looked under shampoo Brands A-Z.

Do a search for "Phytocedrat" it'll pop up.
