I just got my hayden harnett bag, and I love the shape. But I'm unsure of the quality of the leather. It looks...wrinkled. And it's thin. Maybe I am just used to Coach and Kate Spade leather. Is it supposed to be that way? Should I keep searching for another bag with thicker leather?
Well I love the shape if the bag and my Loli bag from last year is really thin leather as well and I still love it and it's held up pretty well. Then again I never used it as an every day bag. the wrinkley is likely just from packing though.

Im not sure about the leather being wrinkled? But I just wanted to say that the bag looks awesome on you! And I think you should definitely keep it, the IRL pic of you carrying it is really making me want one now!
Would this be large enough to carry notebooks and such in?

The gustto bag had wrinkly leather, but that was the style of it - it was definitely supposed to be like that. The wrinkles in this bag may never go away. Is that the look you're going for -- are you ok with that?
This might sound cheesy, but first impressions are important -- did you feel that you loved it the second you opened the box? Or were you a little bit disappointed?
I'll be of more help next Tuesday when my purple one finally arrives, but I will say that I don't think thinness of a material necessarily correlates to the quality of said item. I would also wait a week and see if the wrinkles come out...some people just don't know the art of packaging.
PS: hope this isn't a thread hijack but how tall are you? Just curious b/c I'm trying to figure out how big this bag is gonna be on me.

my thoughts exactly! I'm waiting patiently for mine.
ooh that bag is very cute and it looks great on you...
thin leather not necessarily poorer quality leather.. the new balenciaga bags have super thin leather! i thought the same thing as you did but the love of the bag won!!
Thanks for the feedback girls - see, I love the bag and want to keep it, but I need an everyday bag. I'm just worried it will be too delicate for daily use. I think I am going to order the Andrea Brueckner, do a side-by-side comparison and then decide.
Nicoley, I think it's plenty big enough to hold notebooks! But, again, it has the most beautiful silk lining, and might not be able to take the wear and tear of notebooks, books, etc... constantly being put in and out.
