I have a rant. This show is annoying me to no end, I flip the channels and I saw it on and I watched a couple of mintutes of it. This kids are such brats. One girls party cost $300,000 dollars. And she wanted to make sure she showed people how rich she was. I hope some of this is being over dramatic because, it is really sad how some of these kids act and are so rude to other people. Sorry just had to vent about this show, like I said just watching it for like 5 mintutes made me so mad.

That shows make me want to puke, too. It's sad that these kids act that way.  I think they are like that since they are on tv to get their name out there. It's funny I was looking at the reunion show of sweet sixteen and  all the kids said they are not at all like that in real life. If you are not whiney and bratty, then why act like that in every moment while the camera is on them. I don't get it.

It's sad I see that show rub off on kids in real life.  Everyday there are girls in my store acting acting mean, bratty and catty towards each other, me and my associates, and their parents.  And it's sickening.  There was a girl who had a temper tantrum(she yelled and cussed out her mom) because her mom wanted her to get a dress from my store and not a dress from Saks. She said she wanted to be like girls on the sweet sixteen show.

The show that is even worse is the Daddy's Spoiled Girl on WE network.  It's grown women acting the same way.  My gosh, this one episode this woman was like 32 and made her dad buy her a $90K car on her sister's birthday. She claimed her dad doesn't buy her enough presents. Get this-she doesn't work, she charges expensive clothing and spas/salon treatments on her dad's card.  I think that's enough presents for her.  Anyway, that's my rant.

This week was the worst one in a long time I think. All of the girls are spoiled and awful, but this girl was complete trash and was way too obsessed with "I want this so everyone knows how rich I am." Which actually kind of baffles me, since why would her friends not know that she had a lot of money? She seemed to have a pretty ostentatious family, they didn't look like the types to play down their wealth.

The girl was soooo trashy.

It is just sad that all the money in the world can't buy class.

Before I was thinking about applying to Duke, but the college books all describe Duke kids as super rich with parents who don't even work (meaning they inheirited the $$) and as great of a school Duke is, I really don't want to be surrounded by those type of people...  I haven't actually seen the show, but I think I've heard enough about it..

The funny part is that it seems like often, these kids are the just richest kids in a random smaller town in a middle class public high school.  They are wealthy, but on a national standard, they are not all that.  They will figure that out once they get to college, especially if they try to go somewhere elite. They're just not quite the same as the girls who were on that old show "Rich Girls" with Tommy Hilfiger's daughter, who were memorably naive in their own way, but so much less obnoxious and ill mannered than the girls on Sweet Sixteen.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of catching a few minutes of this Daddy's Spoiled Girl show too.. The 2 girls are grown and I guess daddy has a new gf and they are jealous so they scheme to take him to Vail or some ski resort (on his dollar of course) and then hires a younger ski instructor in a bikini to teach him how to ski!!

Grow up girls!

The show is ridiculous but Daddy's Spoiled Girl is much more sickening!  I guess it just shows their behavior gets worse as they get older.

On the last DSG I watched this girl was nearly in her 30's and made her dad buy her a house that was nearly 1 million!  And she threw her dad a party (Dad ultimately paying for it) to "butter him up"  I just don't get how if that girl is all educated how she cannot have a job and support herself.

Some memorable Sweet Sixteen shows was the kid who ruined the girls $800 birthday cake, I would have been so mad!  Well, I guess that's what you get for buying an $800 cake for a 16 year olds' birthday.  And the girl who got TWO cars, that's ridiculous, I'm sure they are totalled by now.  Those girls get a sick pleasure from taunting kids to get invited to their parties, and kicking kids out who don't kiss their asses.

I think that's a good idea... I knew what city I wanted to go to college in, but it was between the private school and the public school. I don't think anyone at the private school was like the MyS16 girls, but I still chose to go to the public school (despite scholarships from both) because I wanted to be around people who were humble and who actually had to work for what they had. When I go to parties with my friends who go to the private school, they're all at nice apartments and houses in nice neighborhoods for which their parents are paying. My friends from my school, and I, all live in crappy apartments in other (sometimes scary!) parts of town. And I actually like it better that way. I'm not saying it's better to always be scraping by, but to be surrounded by brats would drive someone crazy and ruin her!
