girls who print stationery/invites

I am so frustrated w/ my printer and I am thinking about getting a new one.  I want one that I can use to print invites and stationery.  I don't do it as a business--mainly just enjoy it for friends and family.  So I am just wondering what kind of printers y'all use and if you have any recs for a personal printer that will do a nice job printing graphics and photos on cardstock and stationery weight paper.

Maybe investing in a color laser printer would be a good idea.  When my inkjet no longer works, that's what I'm going to get, the quality of the print is so much better.
