Protecting leather goods?

Does anyone have suggestions on protecting light colored leather goods?  I know there are ways to protect suede but I am not sure about leather.  A friend at work suggested scotch garding.  Any good or bad experinces?  I'm trying to keep a very nice and sensative leather protected.

I recommend Apple Guard Leather Conditioner. It's pretty gentle and I use it on my Balenciaga bag. You can get it from Burlington Coat Factory for like $4.


Did you also want it to protect it against stains? I've heard Wilson's has a good repellent. I use my Aldo one which seems to work pretty well.
