ok so i just about gave myself a heart attack because i thought i lost these beautiful earrings but phew! i found them.  so that led me to the realization that i need a place to store my jewelry.

does anyone have any ideas of where i can find a cute (not fussy) jewelry box?  or any creative organizational tips? tia!

I know this looks totally ghetto but I have it and love it. Especially for my more costumey jewelry.

it just hangs in your closet and you can see everything with digging or things tangling up. My nicer newelry I keep in a drawer I have that has little compartments for each piece.

i have about 6 of these that I use for costume jewelry:

they are meant to store beads or craft supplies but each section is perfect for a pair of earrings, necklace, etc. to sit individually and not get tangled. i keep them stacked in a drawer and its been a pretty organized way to keep my jewelry. each box has 18 compartments and they make them of course in all different sizes. my good jewelry i keep in a safe bc i am paranoid!

I have a box similar to Mara's and then a more traditional jewelry box with hooks for hanging more delicate neckalces.

you can order from firemountaingems.com, or get from The Container Store, or any beads/crafts supply store. HTH!

this isnt a container, but I saw in Domino where they took coat hooks and attached them to the wall and hung necklaces from that.  I took a really beautiful ceramic tray and arranged my earings off of that.  Its not so safe...so maybe you dont want to do that.  But, it looks cool

I have this too.  I'm thinking of getting another. It's super fab!  I keep my "real"/nicer stuff in a jewlery box.

I use Craft Mates boxes:

I love these because each section has its own lid, and each row has a locking bar that holds it shut... even if you drop it.

I found that out the hard way.

I also have little drawers like that for smaller earrings, for my larger earrings, necklaces and bracelets I got a cork board and hung it on my wall then we put little hooks on it for the necklaces and bracelets, but the earrings I just hung through the holes in the board. It looks really cute and would be even cuter if I had painted the board before.

You can also buy them at hobby lobby, walmart, or any craft store. They only cost about a dollar or two.
