I can't seem to get this out of my head. You were saying it didn't go well with your complexion.  I'm obviously light skinned (a little darker, thanks to Mystic Tan and JNG) Do you think it would wash me out?? Is it mostly white with pale stripes or are the stripes brighter as shown on the model??

Thanks!!

I'm very pale and it didn't wash me out at all.  I think you'd be fine, but if you order it, you may want to order more than 1 size to be sure.

ETA:  btw - it is white, but the stripes are much more colorful IRL than online.

Do you think there's something that could be worn over it to make it "work-like".  Also, is it see-through??  Does it need a slip?

Yeah, if I had kept it, I would have thrown a cardi over it and worn it to work.  Something like this (which I also have) would work:

professor cardigan

As far as it being see - thru, I didn't notice that..I think it would be fine as long as you wear some nude colored underwear.  I suppose a slip would put you on the safe side.

I'm medium-skinned and have yellow undertones. I can get much darker as the summer progresses and never burn. I tried it on in the fitting room and while Anthro lighting at the store I was at is actually good for trying on clothes, the colors were just too pale for me. The stripes were definitely on the pastel-ish side but more colorful than the pic, only because they were so small. I think on a fairer-skinned blonde or brunette (i.e: shopchicago33, scarlett), it would be nothing short of adorable.

It's a problem I have with about 75% of what Anthro offers...the pastel tones wash me out or just don't do anything for my skintone. I swear, if that dress came in an earthier or brighter color, I would've bought it and worn it all summer.

HTH!
