Keeping slingbacks on your feet?

Does anyone know if there's any way (including anything a cobbler can do) to help keep slingbacks in place? I have several pair that have the stretchy band on the back of the heel and it always, always falls off my heel. Help please!

I have had a little luck with the stick on bands for sling backs; they're supposed to keep them from falling off, but it's with the most minimal of success.

I had one pair of adorable sling backs that would not ever stay up; I took them to the cobbler and had the straps shortened.  Didn't work.  I think it had more to do with the placement of the straps on the shoe and how they came up around the back of the foot.  I eventually just cut the straps off and wear the shoes as slides now.

Other sling backs I have have never given me a problem so I think it's a design issue.

I bought these last year to put in my Steve Madden Weaverrs and they did the trick nicely:

They're called Strappy Strips and you can buy them on their website: http://www.footpetals.com/cgi-bin/footpetals/prod.html?mv_arg=Strappy%20Strips

HTH!
