Spanx just smooth you out, the girl who created them is around a size 4 but no one has a perfect body and these just make you look a little better.

I can't wait to hear how these new spanx are!

I have spanx power panties and i want to wear them under EVERYTHING! I have no hips or bulges in them, but do IRL. they're a miracle!

pathetic, but I wore them over control top stockings...that's what i'd packed and didn't realize until I had to get dressed and hadn't shaved and had to wear the stockings too...and it was excellent under a tight jersey dress. Alas, I was at dinner and they got tighter and tighter, but they worked!

I'd love to read a review of the less expensive Target version....I could use some help with my "assets"

I got a pair yesterday and wore them last night!

I like these better than the real Spanx! They feel lighter but still do what they are supposed to do, they also stayed in place better and were a little silkier so they didn't stick to the cotton lining of my dress! I am off to buy a whole bunch more!

A question... are they really high waisted like normal pantyhose?

My pants skirts are typically below the belly button, and although I don't go around with belly/back hanging out, there are sometimes when you gape a little in back. I can think of nothing worse than a 'pantyhose' like thing sticking out.

I do pull mine up to under where my bra falls, but you don't have to pull them as high. I would not recommend the power panties version for pants though because you will see a line across your thigh. Otherwise my shirts fall far enough down that you can't see them.

Do they make anything that's like a body suit..or covers the middle section..if that makes sense. Sometimes when I wear matte jersy dresses I feel like I have some bulges in the middle.

my mom just tried a pair from Target and didn't like it. She said the material made her hotter in this heat we are starting to get out here in California. So I'm passing on the Target brand. I get hot too easily!
Are the expensive brand made of more cotton material? I need some breathing material!

boo! I'm going to a wedding this weekend and was hoping these would work for my dress....but it's an outdoor wedding in New Orleans, so it sounds like the heat wouldn't be so comfortable.

IMO you get what you pay for. Spanx rocks! I wear them under my jersey dresses as well. Love them. Plus, I don't get hot when I wear Spanx.

I have a pair of Assets and I really like them. I found them to be similar to the Spanx at a much better price.

I bought a pair of the Assets and have the Spanx s well. IMO I didn't like the Assets one as much - not smooth enough? For $20 when I could bu the real thing for about the same price at Loehmann's or Nordstrom Rack.
