I love this suit that was posted in another thread, but the sizing is weird. I ordered one in this brand once (Raisins) and had to return it b/c the size L bottom didn't fit (i.e. was too small and created unsightly muffin tops above my waist).


With this suit, the waist and hip measurements for the size L bottom are 29 and 40, respectively. My waist is about 29 inches, but my hips are nowhere near 40. Will it work b/c the suit sits so low on the waist (the other one I ordered was higher)? Or will I have muffin tops?

hmmm, I think the 29 is probably meant to be measure where the suit actually sits. So if it's the smallest part of your waist that measures that, I would guess that it'll be tight. That seems like crazy sizing though!

I'd have to think the 40 is the hip measurement. If it's the same type of bottom as in the pic you posted, that suit is hitting nowhere near the model's waist. It sits on her hips. I wonder if the 29" sizing is a reference - i.e. if you have a size 29 waist and 40 hips, that particular size should fit you.

Just a guess though..

That's what I would have to think; that it would be used for reference only. Is it possible you can call about the the sizing?
