hi girls.. i have a charity auction to go to in nyc on thursday... i need a dress i can buy at a B&M store today, under $200 preferably, and won't make me look fat

ok, seriously now... I would pound some pavement and hit the clearance racks at saks, bloomies, and nordies.  get the most bang for your buck.  I don't think anthro will have anything that will be appropriate.

I always remember sfclinevandy getting beautiful evening gowns at Jessica McClintock. IIRC they're not that expensive. There's a boutique at GSP...might be worth a look.

i'm such a traitor, but i definitely suggest BCBG, but i would look at the department store if you find a dress you like because they have a better return policy, and bcbg only has sales twice a year (i don't think there's one right now).  but i really love BCBG and have a ton of luck at Bloomingdales (i think they have the best selection of dresses as far as department stores go)
