Permalink Closed

As from my engagement post... I need to buy a bottle of champagne to ship to england for an engagement present.. Help me pick which brand to buy.. btw, im in college so would like to keep it under 50 dollars.. so hopefully i can get a brand that is really good without me looking cheap.

Thanks!

Hmmm - it depends

Cheap and good - Nicholas Feuilliate

Tattinger Comtes de Champange -when I want to splurge

Veuve Cliquot La Grand Dame - when someone else is splurging on me :)

Or, have you ever tried prosecco or cremant.  Prosecco is made by a totally different method than champagne, but it is delicious and inexpensive (generally around $12/a bottle)

Cremant - it's a French sparkling wine made in the champagne style, but not in the champagne region.  It is also delicious and sometimes significantly cheaper than Champagne.

Can you tell what my favorite drink is?

I like Friexenet (sp?), it comes in an awesome black bottle and is about $10.

Veuve Cliquot La Grande Dame, Perrier Jouet or Moet & Chandon if I have to drink Champagne (which I don't really care for). I don't really like Christal. But, I loooooove Prosecco - its the Italian version of champagne and is less dry. Soooo yummy and much much more affordable.
