My man decided to let me pick where to go for our honeymoon.  I wanted Mexico, but since we only have like 4 days for the honeymoon,  going out of the country was not a option.  So I thought somewhere in the country and close by with beaches, water sports (his thing) and shopping (my thing).  Cape May seem good to me.  I heard it's beautiful.   Has anyone been there before?  And what hotels do u girls remmond (sp)?  No bed and breakfast ones, my man saw some photos of the bed and breakfast bedrooms in the area.  He kinda freak out.  He's more of the modren type guy.  I really wanted to stay at one, but don't want the guy to have nightmares.  So any kind information u girls have will be great.  TIA

Cape May is beautiful. We have a bunch of friends who have houses there. There aren't many hotels there though. It is almost ALL houses for rent and bed and breakfast type places. It is NOT a place for young people either. It is mostly families and older people. If you like to go out and go to bars you are going to need to travel at least 15 minutes off of Cape May to get to a good bar. But the beaches are beautiful and there are some cute shops.

Just things to consider! HTH!

Cape May is very pretty, I love all the painted houses and there are some cute shops.  There's a good fish market there where you can get nice lobsters if you're staying at a place w/ a kitchen.  That said, it is mainly a B&B kind of place.  There isn't much nightlife there, as it's very family-oriented.

If you do go, there is a great breakfast/brunch place called "The Mad Batter" and it's really good.  The pecan pancakes are soooo good!
