Sorry, I couldn't think of a more eloquent description. I need suggestions for shoes that are as comfortable as sneakers, but look OK with casual skirts, too. I have a couple of trips coming up and will be doing lots of walking.
I was looking at these, which I think a few people have:
My feet are an 8-8.5, so I am afraid they will look like boats on me. Any other suggestions? I'd really like something under $100.

i have those Lacoste ones...i love them..I wore them walking all around London and Paris..I wear a size ten and my feet did not look like boats any more than they normally do
i have and love the lacoste pair (in black) i wear an 8.5-9 and honestly don't think they make my feet look big, and i usually hate flats b/c of that reason.
I know that i recommended them a long time ago and some people got them for trips, etc. and everyone liked them, so i would say they are a great option
what about pumas? i know that technically they are sneakers...but some are flat enough (like the sandally ones that nicoley bought recently in the purple) to work with skirts. maybe. im trying to picture this in my head and im just coming up with amish women images but i could just be pyscho cause i was born in amish country. anyway...maybe pumas?
a quick perusal through zappos got me these:
(skechers)
(rsvp)
(dr scholls)
these are much more sandally but still look comfortable:
(rockport, comes in six colors!)

Lilykind, please give a review if you are able to try those shoes on... I love them, and you have now got me thinking about getting them. Are they comfy? What does the silver look like IRL?
Thanks!

I've had a lot of luck with Diesel shoes... I bought a pair of Diesel mules a couple years ago and they go with EVERYTHING and I still wear them all the time; plus, they are super super comfortable

thanks for the recs, guys! I had no idea there were so many options, and I am checking them all out.
honey, I have been in love with the ones you posted for a long time. I wasn't sure they would work with skirts, though. Do you think they'd be awkward with skirts (knee-length denim or jersey)? I am looking at the black ones.

i have them in a tan color and think they would work well with skirts. i haven't actually tried them yet, b/c it's just starting to get warm here. but when i wear them with cropped pants they look kind of like a ballet flat, but a smidge funkier. i will definitely be wearing them with skirts as it starts get warmer.
I've seen a bunch of the ones Elle posted IRL and they are so freaking cute!! I got these from Target and I wear them with skirts all the time. They're comfy but I'm not sure how they'd hold up for a long trip but for $13 they're not too bad.
They also come in blue, which was the color I originally wanted but couldn't find in my size.
